Press Release Body: Hoboken, NJ, March 19, 2008 - eLearners.com, a web resource of EducationDynamics, today announced that its advocacy campaign, "Project Working Mom: Putting Education to Work," will be featured on an April edition of The Balancing Act, a new television series on Lifetime dedicated to addressing the issues facing today's professional woman. eLearners.com, in collaboration with American InterContinental University, DeVry University and Walden University, will give away at least $2 million in full-ride scholarships to working moms.
eLearners.com, an online resource that successfully connects learners to online education, launched "Project Working Mom: Putting Education to Work" to give working moms all the resources they need to empower themselves to go back to school online to improve their lives. The effort includes millions of dollars in full-ride scholarships, a complete searchable database of online accredited degree programs, a comprehensive database of over $15 billion in financial aid, a community of like-minded working moms for support, and a job search capability provided by the fourth largest job search engine, Job.com.
Project Working Mom will headline The Balancing Act, an original and informative daily half-hour television series on Lifetime that empowers women seeking personal and professional growth while managing a career, family and home. On the April show, the segment will educate viewers about the crisis of under-education and under-employment. It will also address the challenges presented by time, money and confidence in pursuing an education. The segment will highlight working mothers who found ways to go back to school online, by discussing their challenges and triumphs.
In May, eLearners.com will return to Lifetime on The Balancing Act to celebrate Mother's Day by awarding scholarships to selected recipients. Through "Project Working Mom: Putting Education to Work," eLearners.com and partner schools American InterContinental University, DeVry University and Walden University are granting at least $2 million in full-ride scholarships.
"The Lifetime network is a known leader in understanding and celebrating women," said Terrence Thomas, Chief Marketing Officer for eLearners.com. "We are proud to bring Project Working Mom to the viewers of The Balancing Act and to share our campaign and our commitment to improving educational resources for the hard-working moms in our country."
